Duttons Adelaide Hills is seeking an experienced and driven Used Vehicle Sales Manager to lead our high-performing used vehicle department. This is not a desk-bound management position. We are looking for a selling Sales Manager who thrives on being actively involved in the sales process, driving performance, managing customer opportunities, and helping the team achieve outstanding results.
With the recent acquisition of additional land adjoining our existing dealership site, Duttons has significantly expanded its used vehicle footprint, creating exciting opportunities for increased stock holdings, higher sales volumes, and sustained department growth. Combined with the continued expansion of the Mount Barker region, this is a unique opportunity to build and lead a used vehicle operation with enormous future potential.

The Role
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales, gross profit, lead conversion, finance penetration and customer satisfaction KPIs.
- Actively participate in the sales process as a hands-on selling Sales Manager.
- Manage and track all incoming sales leads to ensure prompt contact, follow-up and conversion.
- Drive daily sales activity standards including appointments, customer contacts, demonstrations and follow-up.
- Conduct daily sales meetings and performance reviews.
- Coach and develop Sales Consultants through real-time mentoring and deal support.
- Monitor CRM activity to ensure lead management processes are consistently followed.
- Assist in closing deals and overcoming customer objections.
- Work closely with Finance & Insurance personnel to maximise profitability.
- Manage used vehicle stock levels, pricing and inventory performance.
- Foster a positive, accountable and high-performance team culture.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sales Manager, Assistant Sales Manager or automotive sales leader.
- Demonstrated success achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Strong understanding of lead management and CRM disciplines.
- Ability to coach, mentor and motivate a sales team.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and closing skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
